Fancy a bubble tea?
They say you should try something new every day. So, I did.
Every time I go into the Thistle centre I pass this trendy colourful stall selling bubble teas and there is usually a queue of young people. Today it was quiet.
Why not try it instead of a coffee?
After all they claim this tea, originally from Taiwan and is based on tea, fruit jams, toppings and milk is more than a drink – “ it’s a lifestyle and experience.”
So, what's not to like? I bought a mango tea.
First reaction:"Ugh!" Asked M for his opinion, as a former chemist,"Totally synthetic."
Checked the label: "mango with bubbles. 100 per cent sugar."
Cost £5 . Well that’s money, along with the drink, down the drain.
Have any Blippers tried bubble teas?
