Father and son
Sunday
It’s always a job getting Philip out of bed if he doesn’t have to be anywhere, so it was a somewhat late breakfast of blueberry pancakes. It was another very cool breezy day, so we drove to a new nature preserve I had come across, and went walking, hoping to see some bird life. However, it proved to be disappointing in that regard, just an Osprey, in not very good light, and the blue-winged teal in my collage. It was still a nice walk though, through palms and trees laden with Spanish moss. Back at the house, we talked some more and played table tennis, then went out to eat at a favourite restaurant of ours on the island. Philip stayed with us until about 10.30 when he had to head back to Venice, ready for work in the morning. All being well, we’ll see him again on Wednesday evening.
