A Casualty Of Last Night’s Storm

This was a local casualty of last night’s storm Jocelyn which I spotted when I took Dylan for a walk in the woods at lunchtime.

The woods are part of the Warter Estate who seem to me to be particularly useless at anything to do with land management that doesn’t involve pheasants, so unfortunately this tree was one of many that have come down in the recent high winds.

Fortunately there doesn’t seem to be any other damage in our village so I think we may have got off lightly compared to other parts of the country. I hope you all stayed safe out there.
