Wednesday: Winter Flowers

The weather has calmed down by this morning, overcast for most of the day, gentle breeze and temperature around 10°C.

Whilst I was refilling the bird feeders I noticed a few flowers, then I went searching for more - was very surprised to find 7 very close to the house and garage : pink and blue pulmonaria, pale pink comfrey, pink Bergenia (Elephant’s ears), snowdrops, orange calendula, white hellebore and creamy coloured primrose.

Our smoke alarm had gone off around 4am, MrD had got up to remove the battery - the battery was flat and the reason for the alarm going off - neither of us could settle back to sleep, the moon is also full for a few days and everywhere was unnaturally bright. 

MrD was on deliveries and managed to get through the day too …


Last night’s film was “The Net” starring Sandra Bullock, one of my favourite films - so much running …!
