One end of the rainbow

Lots of jobs completed today, another well on the way, and the sun shone for some of the time too. What more could I ask for? Bertie and I set off for our walk during one of the sunny intervals in the afternoon but we had only been walking for ten minutes before it started to rain. However, rain plus sunshine equals a rainbow and sure enough, there was one on the other side of the loch. I had just taken my photo and was standing still watching the changing light (Bertie had walked on ahead a little) when a tree creeper alighted on the tree trunk right beside me. It was a joy to watch it creeping upwards before it flew on to the next tree and disappeared into the upper branches.
