Early stroll

We were up at 7am and out on the beach for an early morning stroll.  Sun was rising slowly, the waves lapping and strong as the tide slowly goes out and stray dogs were a plenty.

A lovely stroll before breakfast, little birds (sorry don’t know what they are), chasing the waves to search the sea when the waves recede. 

The stray dogs are “wild”,  not aggressive, all Labrador style.  They keep their distance (unless you have food), a number of bitches that you could see had had multiple litters.  One was digging in the sand, they’ve learnt how to hunt for food and where it might be.  The authorities in Santa Maria are fully aware of the problem (which has been for many years now) and working with rescue groups to rehome. 

Another day lounging by the pool, drinking water and other beverages (the alcohol free mojitos are very nice) and soaking up the sun rays (although blowy today, around 20mph).

Same again tomorrow ………. I could get used to this.
