Wednesday: Above Miami

Well, I did say little and often was our mantra as regards breaks.  It was just a short five day break but it was nonetheless very restorative and a lot of fun.  We left Key Largo at 0700 this morning - it’s only about 90km to Miami Airport but driving through Miami took up the majority of the journey.  But all the timings worked out and we are now safely back in Belmopan.

We were sitting next to a woman on the flight who was on her first trip to Belize.  She was curiously obsessed as to whether she could eat salsa without getting sick.  She said she was very careful of salsa and would never eat it in Mexico.  We told her we had never been sick here as a result of eating something.  ‘Even salsa?’, she said.  I’m intrigued as to why she was so fixated on salsa.
