After the Christmas Tree

In this bit, by the front door, we had a Christmas tree, but when we put the decorations away it looked rather bare.
about 3 weeks ago we went off to the local nursery, which is part of a large hardware store, and bought some plants.
The Hyacinths are keeping remarkably well, and the other ones are coming along nicely despite the very cold weather we had a week or two ago.
It has turned very mild lately, up to 7 degrees C some days, but lots of rain.
Tomorrow morning I have a veterans funeral, escorting the hearse with a couple of other motorcycle riders. Hope the BBC have got their forecast correct, looks like sun all morning and then a bit of cloud but dry and sunny intervals. Fingers crossed!
