Granny Vivian

I found my photo album that my younger brother, Brent put together from my dad's slides. My dad loved to take photos. I looked through to find some pictures of Granny. I loved this one because how fashionable she looks with those glamorous legs. She must be around 63 or 64 here.
This was in Montana and shows me, my older brother, Fred, my mom, Diana, who has Brent leaning against her, my dad, Fred and then Granny. She is my dad's mother. I'm wondering if we were heading off for a camping trip. I love how happy we all are.
The extra is my mom's Master's in Library Science graduation. Fred and I had spent the summer in Kentucky with Granny so we wouldn't be in Mom's hair while she was finishing her degree. This was when Fred and I flew out to Kentucky by ourselves. We were around 5 and 6 years old! We spent the summer swimming in the Kentucky lakes, pulling weeds for a penny a weed and going dancing with Granny at the Purple Crackle supper club. The year is 1969 and Granny is 60 in this photo. Today as I looked at this photo and realized her age I also realized that I will be turning 60 this summer. I can't quite wrap my head around that one.
