I'm not quite sure if the roofers managed to find a solution to the leak over my side of the bed whenever there is a strong southerly wind and heavy rain (it happens worryingly frequently these days...) but there is one thing that they definitely achieved beyond the shadow of a doubt: they scared the shit out of the cat.
