Why is it so difficult?

Photo today is of a poem that I am trying to learn.  I suggested to No.1 that learning a poem might help with memory and recall?  It is so difficult - how do actors do it and learn whole scripts - I am really struggling and don't seem to be able to get past the first couple of lines.  

No.1 had another appointment for bloods at the RM today - any day but Monday seem to be good as she was in and out in around 10 minutes although no results received yet?  

I suggested a drive to M&S at Colliers Wood so we had a bowl of soup and sandwich before a quick beak round.  Brother S rang while we were in the car and it was lovely to hear No.1 laughing (conversation was about her having no appetite and S said he could eat for England, then told her about the self control of nephew P who can open a box of Maltesers and only eat one!!!  She laughed out loud and it was good to hear.  I mentioned the poem to S and we reminisced reminding ourselves what a great film "Dead Poet's Society' was - I'm definitely going to re-watch.

Back to Tooting then slow drive home - why do they dig up the roads everywhere!!
