Sunshine on Fife

Looking across the Forth to Fife and Kirkcaldy in the sun.
What a beautiful day it turned out to be today as I navigated my way down to Porty to swim for the first time since Isha and Jocelyn departed stage right.
These stormy ladies certainly put pay to any thoughts on my part of cold water immersion.

The sun shone and the sea was calm considering the stiff SW wind. The latter meant the air temperature was just above freezing at the outset but feeling slightly warmer in the sun.
Daughter #1 chose not to swim but met me at the beach with a flask of hot ginger tea before we went for a coffee and a warm up at the MacDonalds near Meadowbank where I can change to another bus which gets me home more or less to the door.

It’s Friday again and the TGIF drinks await.
