St Nicholas Church, Tolleshunt Major

Tolleshunt Major as all the other villages with the foreword, Tolleshunt get their names from the same Anglo-Saxon source, which means Toll’s Spring.
In this area of Essex, the Romans created bricks. The bricks were used in many of the buildings in the area including St Nicholas Church. The amazing church tower gives a clear view across to Mersea.
