Beautiful Day

After all the rain yesterday I did not at all expect a frosty night followed by a sunny day.
I went for a walk in the early afternoon; not very far, my knee still hurts when I put weight on it (after I twisted it two weeks ago).
Heard the cranes (extra 1) loooong before I saw them (extra 2). Couldn't believe my ears and eyes, but they are on their way north! Spring can't be that far then.

I was heading for a certain favourite bench (extra 3) when I heard them. Spent a most enjoyable hour sitting on my hiking seat pad on the still wet and cold bench, but the sun was warm in my face and it felt great.
