The Sun in Winter

We had some beautiful sunshine today. A happy surprise given I wasn’t expecting any.

On these winter days I’m enjoying savouring the light gradually breaking through in the morning and then falling away in the evening. It is possible to sense the daylight getting a little longer as the weeks pass by. Today we were treated to a glorious pink sky at both sunrise and sunset.

Grateful today:
- To have a few productive and fun filled hours at the allotment.
- To watch the sky turn pink as the sun rose and set.
- To eat peanut and raspberry butter on toast.
