Cheese Scones
Another glorious day of sunshine and warmth (9 degrees). It felt spring-like. We are now forecast several days of overcast weather so I’ve been trying to make the most of it.
Merlin and I walked to Emsworth this morning. Andy drove (as he is limited to short walks just now). The three of us met on the quayside for a wander. Unfortunately for Merlin and Andy, the bakery was shut so there were no sausage rolls to eat. Instead whilst Merlin and I walked home, Andy baked cheese scones and surprised us with them when we got home.
This afternoon I’ve been at the allotment sorting out the storage area, finishing the wood chip paths I started last week, and preparing the bed for the cherry tree I planted. There were several other plot holders there. One of them was busy constructing a fruit cage for his raspberries. It’s always interesting to see what others are up to on their plots.
Grateful:
- For another day of sunshine and being outside.
- To finally get a miniature cherry tree planted at the allotment (it has been in a pot in the garden since last spring).
- For freshly made cheese scones for brunch.
