Complicated math
Sue saw the eye surgeon yesterday, and it turns out that all is not entirely well. She has inflammation in the eye that was treated 6 weeks ago. The eye with the new cataract removal seems to be fine, but her vision in the other eye is blurry. The doc said inflammation at the cataract removal site occurs in only about 1% of people, but that’s what she has.
The treatment for inflammation in the eye after cataract surgery is two kinds of drops, four times a day. The treatment for the newly post-op eye is three kinds of drops, three times a day. As a result, we’re always washing our hands and putting drops in one eye or the other. It could of course be worse, but this is a lot of kerfuffle to keep track of. If it doesn’t resolve itself, she’ll need to see a retina specialist.
Nevertheless, we continued with our long lists of errands. We got fliers made for the teach-in, did some shopping, continued work on signs, continued working on public statements for all the people in the teach-in organizing group, and got some laundry done.
