Singapore, Day 4

We both did some desk work in the morning, working at the big table in the hotel reception area. Bb kept us supplied in coffee from the ‘all day breakfast’ takeaway place along the road. Shock horror that the coffee machine in the Seven 11 shop across the road was broken!

Then off to Bugis Junction shopping mall (an easy 10 min walk) to buy sandals for Bb. He was getting blisters from wearing his moccasins without socks and we’d decided to throw away his well-worn sandals when we left Rio. We were both surprised to find a pair that did the job so easily!

From there, we both decided we were a bit too tired (and it was very sunny and hot) to do the botanic gardens justice, as was our original plan. So we headed down to the museum area at the river, wandered round there and had fish and chips at The Penny Black on Boat Quay. Then an early night!
