BIRDWATCH

Since my garden is currently a building site, and anyway birds haven't yet got into the habit of landing in it, I headed down to the nearest park to attempt the Big Birdwatch but it was impossible. There were lots of different birds there but they were flying about or hiding in the trees and shrubs and generally not landing anywhere to be counted. However I managed a couple of photos: this bluetit, a long-tailed tit (first extra) and also an opportunist rat (second extra) who swam across the stream to take advantage of some food left by another bird fan.
