I gave up waiting for the promised sunshine (BBC weather app) and had a wander up Stock Ghyll past the waterfalls. When I came out at the top entrance I could see clear sky in the distance beyond the hills to the southwest. That’s where it stayed.

Garden birdwatch this morning ……. a fraction of the usual visitors, followed by a good clean of the downstairs rooms.
