Victories

Both the men’s and ladies’ teams won today. I thought, though, I would post a photo of the ladies team who won 4-2. The men travelled to Thuir and won their match 5-1. My own match lasted well over two hours and I was chuffed to win 7-5 in the deciding set. We had to take a circuitous route on the way and on the way back to avoid the road blocks set up by the discontented farmers in their national dispute. I was back in time to watch the end of the ladies match. One of the ladies I was practising with on Friday won her match after a marathon four hours of play! I had an ulterior motive to watch their match as the food they prepare is much better than the food the men prepare and they always invite me to sample their cakes and puddings!
