The Battle of the Alexes

The picture is not in fact a picture of the battle of the Alexes, but it was a better picture so it got the blip.  

Back at work today and back to swords.  Was quite shocked to see a number of trees down, having not been out of the house since Saturday.  We have a work event on Friday and I had to be in the office to do some prep work - mainly printing things and making up gift bags.  Not sure that it's in my job description but hey.

Swords was fun, it's good going back to basics.  At the end, was the aforementioned battle of the Alexes.  It's club tradition that is someone comes to the club and they have the same name as someone else, that a challenge is issued.  Whoever wins the fight, gets to keep the name.  Unfortunatley now not-Alex was up against the founder of the club, so it was always going to be a tough battle, especially with the foam swords. 

I had the proper camera with me and managed to get some proper shots today.  Hoping it will improve my indoor & movement skills.
