The Riwaka River begins its journey from deep within Takaka Hill and here we see it emerge.
In the morning light the water is crystal clear - and very deep.


We have had a wonderful day with blipper GillyH and her husband who are visiting from the UK.
Wood fired pizzas for an unhurried lunch at Marahau was really enjoyable. 
Returning to Motueka we took the road via Kaiteriteri, stopping for coastal views from above Little Kaiteriteri, then stops at the Riwaka wharf area and the Kumeras, all places that feature in my blip journal.


The extra photo was taken in very windy conditions at Marahau and looking across Sandy Bay towards Fisherman and Adele Islands.
