During a pause in today’s rain I popped out into the garden to find a flower with raindrops. Of course it wasn’t difficult finding one that fit the bill. The difficulty was deciding which one to blip.
These fuchsia flowers always remind me of dainty ballerinas, particularly this variety with the layers of light coloured petals.
Thank you for the comments, stars and hearts for yesterday’s roadside cluster of agapanthus flowers and dried grasses.
Wet weather has spread over much of New Zealand. Auckland and Waitomo are under a state of emergency after Friday’s unprecedented rainfall which caused havoc flooding homes and businesses in NZ’s largest city and surrounds. Auckland domestic and international airports were under water - inside and out. Major slips have damaged homes and left other homes hanging over cliffs. They have also closed many roads. Another warning has been issued for more heavy rain for Sunday night to Monday morning.
While the Top of the South, where I live, has rain it isn’t anything like the deluge that has and is falling in parts of the North Island.
