Standard Day

In keeping with a lack of more interesting things to say: I'm thankful for the weather lately. It's very Halloweenish, monsooning only part time, and without a daylight-savings adjustment we're also enjoying some beautiful lazy dawns. Another notable event was reviewing the rules for writing dialogue and, believe it or not, emails this morning in writing class. That section was not in any of my English handbooks, even in college. Apparently you should never write them in the formal register, should lead with the point and keep them as short as possible...and remember that emails (in a work setting) should be used strictly to exchange information and coordinate business activities. Hah.
