North to York

After a morning of teaching it was into the car and headed North. There were roadworks and other issues on the A1, so my satnav took me through Fenland and on to Huntingdon, where I was taken past the Huntingdon Life Sciences site and protest site. Near Grantham, I finally joined the A1 and headed up, via a pause in Doncaster for lunch, M18, M62 detour round roadworks to the edge of York where I joined the first half day session of the Geography Teacher Educators' Conference. Ended the day with a pint of Black Sheep with one of the organisers then back to my parents for a meal and some drinks and chat with my sister and partner. A nice way to end the weekend... stayed up late catching up.
