Colour at the end of the day
I know much of the country had quite a drop of rain today so some of you may be wondering why our uniformly grey blanket of thick cloud with dense fog on top of the North Downs was rather dispiriting.
These are the worst days of all, winter or summer. No colour, hemmed in, lowering, threatening drizzle.
Despite all that we made the best and were rewarded at the end of the day with a muted, delicate sort of sunset that I wasn’t expecting. It was so fleeting and I was fortunate to be in the right place to capture the colours reflected in the waters of Mote Lake. I’ll take that.
Much ukulele today. A band rehearsal this morning and Uketok this evening. Punctuated by that walk in the part this afternoon.
Used the air fryer to reheat cauliflower and tuna cheese along with chips made from celeriac, sweet potatoes and carrots. I’m awaiting an air fryer cookbook from the library to learn more.
