The Story is in the Eye of the Beholder

I spent too much time figuring out how to manipulate all the elements in this collage in Procreate; I’m learning my way around slowly but surely. Or at least slowly. It’s a project for a group I’m in. Some of the photos are mine, but the background is a purchased “asset.” That’s what you call elements that you buy on line: assets. There is a surprising number of people who deal in these things, which can be drawings, scans of old photos and memorabilia, lettering—anything that you might want to put together with something else to make a new image. We used to call it cutting up magazines. You might remember the butterfly, who has made numerous guest appearances in these pieces. Once you have isolated an object it just demands to be used again and again.

It was suggested by someone in that group that I ask people to narrate the story they see in this image. Anyone game to try?
