Here is the lovable rogue Max, doing his Sphinx impression.

Between his paws he is clutching a disembowelled fluffy toy duck which is his favourite toy, though he will happily chase after any soft toy. The fun is in the catching and not letting go, especially if Someone Else is pulling at it.

Yesterday evening I went back to June's where, because there were 11 of us there for supper, there was plenty work to be done in the kitchen. Everyone had toiled away in the garden throughout the day and June and Laurie were delighted with the end result.

I apologise for being behind with comments after the busy weekend, but I hope to rectify that over the next few days.
