The boys day out
The day started with a full cooked breakfast cooked by martinski. Once the rain had abated the boys headed out through the boatyard, past the locks and down to the Muirton Basin. They were disappointed to discover that the nearby Tree House was just offices and rooms to let rather than an information centre. Back by the canal, Peter commented on a new signpost and martinski said that the signs were all pointing the wrong way. Following martinski’s directions and with the aid of a stick, Perer got them all facing the right way. In the face of a freezing wind the boys retreated to the Clachnaharry Inn for supper.
