Beauty in the Wild….

Well, it is a very dainty, sweet little flower. not absolutely wild but growing amongst native plantings beneath the lop-sided pine. A wild Iris. Aka Dietes Grandiflora. Other names include “Fortnight Iris” and “Fairy Iris”. Friends who saw me photographing the flowers told me they call them “Poor Man’s Orchids”.
A busy day… I drove Maisie to Sally the Groomer for a beauty treatment. She had become a little shaggy recently. She looked very pretty afterwards.
And yay! Rain today from early afternoon. Lovely warm, much needed rain. Now my heart is singing.
