Over Time

Some people, when confronted with a problem, think "I know, we'll just work some overtime." Now they have two problems.

I worked overtime today. Another two hours of my life wasted. I don't like doing it. Its not that I don't like working but in today's society I cannot see its place.
When workers work overtime they get fatigued, this should be obvious. It should also be obvious that when people are spending more time working, they're spending less time resting and getting things done in their personal lives. This means they will be less focused and productive on the job. On top of that, they may have to start taking care of personal business at work and there may be an increase in absenteeism, sick days, and work from home time. The combination of all these factors is often referred to as "undertime".
