Warm sourdough loaf

It’s Friday, which usually means that I get a delivery of a fresh sourdough loaf baked locally. Today, however, was the first loaf for three weeks as a result of little sunlight. “What has sunlight got to do with bread making?”you might ask. The answer is simple: the bread maker lives off-grid. In other words, he has no mains electricity to his home and relies on solar power and batteries for power for his ovens. This is fine for much of the year but if the light has been so low like it was last week and the week before, he is unable to bake, but this week the power from the electric car saved the day.  His bread is the best I have ever tasted, evidence of this is shown in the bites taken out of the warm crust in my blip. (I just couldn’t wait  any longer after an absence of two weeks.)
