Witch hazel

Walked into Holmfirth for drumming this morning, and spotted this beautiful witch hazel on the way. Can't imagine why I've never noticed it before. Decided to photograph it on the way back, when I wouldn't be in such a hurry.

Enjoyed the drumming session, joined some of the other drummers for coffee, and then bought a couple of essentials at the Co-op. Unfortunately, by the time I walked back up the hill the wind had got up, but I took a couple of shots of the witch hazel anyway, even though the branches were swaying in the wind. The flowers are such a gorgeous colour!

Trying to work out if we could fit one into our garden...
