Star Wars
YES, I know that this is not my picture (i do not take ownership, blah blah) and that probably goes against the norm of the website and what it is intended for...but....it will all be ok. I promise. I didn't take any pictures today, but I still want to write about what happened so I can look back on this trip and remember everything and keep my friends and family informed that I am still alive. Sahry.
Anyways, the reason I didn't take any pictures is mostly because it's monday and we were in school most of the day and I'm lazy. This week in school is apparently the long week, so we have some new classes per day to fit the title. Today we went to Biology first, which was ok (they learned about global warming and pollution and what-have-you). Next, we went to Deutsch, which was different because all the Deutsch classes going on at that time met in the same room to watch a freaky movie on a book by the author they are studying. I would've probably gotten into it had a actually understood anything...instead I slept through the first half and looked at the clock the second. Then we ate and went to Math. Didn't know what was going on in there too, but the teacher is (i think) really funny and therefore made it more interesting. Everytime he would say a word from a specific dialect that I wouldn't have learned in school he wrote it on the board for me and had me repeat it to him. It was funny....you probably had to be there. The words were...Nä, galle, and something else. The last class we had was History which was interesting because there were only five students there, including me. The students received their end of the year exams last wednesday and therefore most of them don't come because they aren't graded on it now. We were there, Franzie said because they have the same teachers next year and all of the material is on their Abitur (which allows them to graduate, if they pass). Anyways, we watched two short films in there about how Hitler became...Hitler, but I mostly drew because the vocabulary was too advanced and the videos were old and fast. The teacher, however asked me after the videos if we learned about Hitlers rise to power in school, but i didn't understand her very well and just looked confused and said...ya? haha. After school we met Marius at the bus stop and went back to the house and watched New Girl. All the voices are different in German and its interesting to think about how they don't know the actor/actresses real voice. Franzie's grandpa was at the house when we got home and after a while he came downstairs and talked to us for maybe 30 minutes about when he lived in Australia as a kid and your heritage and then gave us all 20 euros. I really do like older people more than people my own age...After he left we headed upstairs and helped Franzie's mom with dinner and all sat down and ate wraps with cucumbers, tomatoes, corn, lettuce, chicken, and dressing inside. yummmm. We ended up tallking about Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter. Marius, Katherina, and Frau Angelica all really like these types of movies, but Franzie does not :( I've found it difficult to find things that I can really bond with Franzie with, but I will figure it out. Anyways, because of the conversation, we proceeded to watch the first Star Wars WITH english subtitles. yuss. All of the voices were hilarious to me (especially Jar Jar Binks), but I couldn't explain why they were so funny. Oh well. After this I said goodnight to Marius and Franzie and went to bed!
