MMC2024 :: Day 3 :: Byland Abbey

Mono Month Challenge 2024

Today's mono is a simple overlay of Byland Abbey using the Snapseed app in phone. I was looking for a retro poster look. 

Byland Abbey was occupied between 1177 and 1538 when it was closed during the Suppression of the Monasteries. It is one of the free properties looked after by English Heritage. 

It has been a lovely day, warmer than of late. We took a drive down to a furniture store south of Thirsk then meandered back home via Byland Abbey, Helmsley and Rievaulx Abbey. Far too busy everywhere to stop along the way.
