MMC2025 :: Day 3 :: Missing...
Mono Month Challenge 2025
Yesterday I promised a lot more water. Well when I got to Saltburn-by-the-Sea the sea was nowhere to be seen! A slight exaggeration but the pier was barely getting its feet wet.
Saltburn's pier was built in 1869 at a length of 1500 feet. In 1875 a storm destroyed the end resulting in the current length of 1250 feet.
When I took this photo the tide was at its lowest and as far out as the last pillars. By 6pm tonight the tide will be back at over 13 feet above where I was standing.
