gardening leave

I've been having the urge to do some gardening for a while now, but today was my first opportiunity to get stuck in. This whole week has been pencilled in as "Gardening Leave" as we have Merry here with us :-)

I went to fetch her first thing from Parkgate and came home via Pets At Home with Joe and the garden centre to buy broad bean seeds.

Merry, Jess and I have pruned buddleia and apple trees and cut back some big brambles in the woods. We also took some time to admire the snowdrops, which opened up in the afternoon sunshine.
