Egyptian geese
Tommy left very early this morning to get to Gatwick airport to fly to France, where he and a group of university friends are skiing for a week. They are self catering in an Air BnB so hopefully the accommodation is okay.
Gavin and I went to Bushy Park with Xena. I walked all over the park looking for waxwing birds but did not find any. In fact I never saw a single deer either. It was a very disappointing day as usually I always find something interesting to photograph at Bushy Park. This pair of geese were getting in a flap about something - I thought it was Xena that they were protesting about, but it turned out to be some other geese in a nearby tree.
We then went home and Gavin went off to the village for his eye check up. I met him after the check up and we had lunch at a favourite vegan café - I had mushroom stroganoff with cauli rice, it was very tasty.
I spent the afternoon pottering about at home. I also booked on a photography trip to the Faroe Islands in November 2025, nearly 2 years away! I have been on a waiting list for the 2024 trip but decided today to rather book for 2025 so I have certainty.
