Haldon forest 5k canicross race

Up early for a race in Devon. Start time 8am so the general public aren't disrupted too much.

It was a challenging race, down hill with a lot of steps (not easy when you have a dog pulling you, trying to overtake and also trying not to get in the way of the fastest non canicross runners who were chasing us down). Then uphill to the finish.
Dina was her amazing self, slowing when I asked, walking with me when I had to, and encouraging me to pick up the pace at other times.
My part trying to run as fast as I could for her and letting her throw herself into any water she wants to.
I was surprised to find out we came 7th out of 18 females. Oldest female in the field.
