Bearsted Market on the Green

Thank you once again for your kind concern about Doreen. We went to see her this afternoon. She recognised us when we went in but soon after went to sleep. When we went to go we couldn’t rouse her so we informed the care staff and let them know.

Earlier we’d been down to Bearsted Green for the monthly market. We try to go when we can, largely to look as there’s not much we find to buy.

The Bakers always do a roaring trade. By the time we’d got there all the sourdough had gone. We could have brought meat, cheese and fish and the veg stall always attracts lots of people as can be seen in today’s blip.

We cannot understand why the stall is so popular as no prices are displayed! How does the stall holder get away with that?
