So many Rockies

Took Phin for a walk in the morning to Newbattle to make sure I got some steps in before our trip to Perth concert hall for an evening of singing with a 1000 other choir members. I needed have bothered as we sang and danced our way to around 10000 steps in the 2 and a half hours we were there!

We’d managed to book ourselves on to the bus as it was picking up at the park and ride 3 miles from the house. The downside was it made for a longer journey as we were first on the bus but we chatted and the the time passed quickly.

Yvonne and I had booked a restaurant to eat before the singing started which was where I spoiled the sign outside. Wasn’t sure what a pot tail was but they served cocktails in plant pots (lined with metal cups) apparently. Thanjs to davidc for hosting SillySaturday in memory of Admirer.

We shared a couple of pizzas - a veggie supreme and garlic mushrooms - which were delicious.

The You’re the voice event was fabulous, sparkly clothing in evidence everywhere and a 1000 choir members from all over Scotland singing our hearts out accompanied by a live band and our choir leaders.

Home by quarter to eleven on such a high that I decided to gave a glass of wine and read my book. Lost track of time and didn’t get to bed till 1.30!
