Pretty Brough

Some sunny spells, some wintry showers and more gales.  Calmer and dry tonight.

A lazy morning around the house, finally got out walkies with Sammy.  Picked up friend Julie in the afternoon, caught the ferry to Bressay, the first Sunday Teas of the year.  A good spread, raising money for the local Under 5s group.  I've been working in the shop this evening, and a fairly quiet night.  Walkies with Sammy, then feet up for the night.

After the Teas, we headed out around the island for a look, I still have so much to explore here and always finding new places and scenery.  We turned down an unknown road, it wasn't very long and soon came to a dead end.  It was once a fairly built up township, various old croft houses along the road.  Right at the end, there was the prettiest houses, sadly don't looked lived in, but still in good condition and used for the local croft.  If only we could peek back in time to see how the thriving township worked.  Taken at Brough, Bressay.
