Spynie loch
A collegue told me about a bird hide I did not existed at Loch Spynie , near Elgin, so I headed of there for two of the most beautiful hours . watching the sunset over the loch with swans, terns, Dunlin, herons and all manner of birdlife. You may wonder why my blip is not of such rich wildlife. Well the light was low and my telephoto does not seem to cope as well in low light, but mainly because I preferred this and it is a bit different,.It sits on the farm where the carpark for the hide is. It represents the compromises we make between preserving and exploiting our natural heritage. Although industrial these silos are now part of the rural landscape.
