Still (Day 3192)
Sigyn woke me a few times through the night, but not too early this morning. It was a very pleasant change to take her for her morning wander with enough light that I didn't need a head torch. Even better there was no wind. After such a long time being blown to bits, it is really strange when the wind disappears.
Back home Sigyn was back to not settling and being hyper vigilant. I booked an appointment with the vet.
I had a quick trip in to town, then spent a little while sorting out emails before heading to Stromness for the second wander of the day. It was good to be along the shore and not fighting the wind, and I didn't really care about the rain showers along the way. Nice to see Hoy with a snow cap too.
Along to Mum and Dad's for lunch, and to drop Sigyn off while I headed to the horses to get the chores done.
We had a brief stop at home before Sigyn and I went in to town for the vet appointment. She got a very thorough examination and the vet can find nothing physically wrong with her. It is possible that the gales that have being blowing for ever have left her so spooked she just can't calm down. A course of mild sedatives has been prescribed, and we will see how she gets on.
From the vet's, we headed to the airport for the best bit of the day, collecting my beautiful wife. Sigyn is just as pleased to have her back as I am, and is currently curled up sleeping on a dozing HV.
