WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

By lizzie_birkett

Our Amelia

Figure Skating competition in Blackburn seated with her coach.
We set off early and were at the ice rink by 9am.
The girls were so excited that we came.
Amelia was fabulous - didn’t falter and no falls, so graceful! So she was a little disappointed that she came in at no 6. The skaters are all excellent so the stakes are high.
The main thing is, she loved every minute. I wish you could see her in action, the song she skated to was a funky little number:

The extra is Lucy - her fringe is finally growing back after she chopped it herself a couple of months ago! :-D))

We had to leave them at 11.30 as we had choir at 1.30pm which went well.
They had a long drive up to Airdrie and then Lucy was going skating after tea. She decided she wants to give it another go, she used to have lessons when she was younger but was a bit nervous, we’ll see how she goes. She is a lot more cautious about things than Amelia. She has only just gone back to swimming as she was scared before.  She’ll find her ‘thing’ though and will blossom. She’s more into reading, drawing, dancing and singing.

It’s been a tiring day so I’m ready to sleep but I can’t go to bed at 8.30!
Can I….?

I’ll do a bit of jigsaw first.

Goodnight :-) X
