Striped Squill

Apparently this is not a variety of Chionodoxa,  as I reported earlier, but Puschkinia scilloides the Striped Squill. I should have known as my s-i-l was a keen gardener and had many interesting varieties in her collection.

We had a better day today with no confusions, mainly because big brother's friends are back from their weekend away and know how everything is supposed to work. So we're heading home for a few days until final, final decisions are made - whether they're on advice or whim.
