Went out for our traditional post Christmas fancy meal, bit later than usual due to our combined nearly-month of illness.

Back to Sonny Stores after a couple of years, and as good as we remember. I skipped a starter in order to have space for pudding (a ‘burnt amalfi lemon tart’ which I ate too quickly to photograph).

Afterwards we had a very quick pitstop in the Standard, then along to Spirited to watch Brown and his pals play some jazz. Really cool venue, excellent music as expected, lovely drinks. There was even a dog. One of my favourite things was watching people passing by and stopping for a while to watch/listen through the window.
