Going to Seed

As I write in the shelter of home, the wind is blowing hard and the rain hitting the window. There has been a sense of it approaching all day.

Aside from the usual dog walks, I’ve spent some time today creating a log of the varieties of vegetables, fruit and flowers I am going to try to grow this year, or have established at the allotment. I’m trying to grow one less common variety of each main vegetable, along with a more reliable and widely available one. We’ll see how it goes - it may be frustrating or fun!

Grateful today:
- To be in a dry and warm home this evening.
- To have had time and inclination to enjoy exploring different varieties of fruit and vegetables.
- To get absorbed in watching a BBC Screen 2 film from the 1990s this evening.
