Beautiful bright sunny day for my drive home. The hours passed pretty quickly as I listened to the second half of ‘The Couple at No 9’ by Claire Douglas…really good story with several clever twists.
Stopped to see P en route and was pleased to find him chirpier than last week and saw the manager who explained he’d had an infection but had finished the course of antibiotics now. We had a chance for the three of us to chat and managed to get quite a few issues sorted that he’d been worrying about.
I’d taken him post, a newspaper and some chocolate and left him happily engaged with them before getting back on the road.
Just(!) made it back home in time to meet DH for tea at the Portrait Gallery and an update chat about governance.
Finally home…got the heating on and some supper on the go, then looked through quite a lot of post, most of which is stuff for the Borneo trip, nice!
Looking forward to getting a pile of stuff sorted in the next couple of days…
